Team Member Setup

Firstly enter your full name which will be logged against all of your tasks (if you're working in a team, enter the names of other team members here as well):

Basic Setup

  • Open the Enter/View Team Members form by selecting:

          View Other Options ...

           Enter/View Team Members ...

from the Main Menu startup panel.

  • Enter your Initials and Name. (To do this go to a new record by clicking the new record button on the record selector.)

  • If you are working in a team, enter the initials and names of other people who might participate on your tasks or jobs.

Unless you are going to use the time budgeting features of Task Manager 2000 (as described in the Advanced Setup section below), you don't need to fill in the remaining fields on the entry form - leave the values for these fields as they are.

When you have finished entering initials and names, close the form .

Advanced Setup

Some users will want to take advantage of the time budgeting features available with Task Manager 2000. These features are especially useful for users who charge customers for their time, e.g. accountants (CPA's and CA's), lawyers, architects, business consultants, computer services people, etc.

If you want to keep track of how much work you have ahead of you (in terms of time, i.e. days and hours), the time budgeting features will also be useful for your internal tasks and jobs.

To set up team members for use with time budgeting, fill in the following fields (as shown in the screenshot above):

Productivity %

Use this field to enter a percentage that represents how productive you expect the particular team member to be. For example; you might expect to be able to charge 80% of your work time on average to actual customer jobs, while you may expect the other 20% of your time to be taken up with non-chargeable administration work.

The percentage you enter is used by Task Manager 2000 to calculate how long it will take to finish all your work.

Charge Rate (per hour)

Enter a per hour billing rate for paying jobs, for the particular team member.

Additional Data

Enter any further information you may want to store with this team member.

Tag

This field is reserved for custom reports. You can leave it blank initially.

When you have finished entering all team members' or just your own data, close the form .
